Ty is the President and Owner of the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home who joined the company in May 1987. He is a licensed funeral director & embalmer. He is in charge of the day to day operations of the funeral home, monuments and the crematory. He attended Ohio University-Belmont, graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is a member of North Terrace Church of Christ, Clarington Lodge # 597 F&AM. He is a Past Monarch of the Amrou Grotto # 45, a member of Aladdin Shrine, Sertoma, Zanesville Daybreak Rotary and a Certified Crematory Operator. Ty is married to Erin Feerick Dierkes, a school teacher at West Muskingum Middle School and has four children, Jesse, Cody , Natasha and J.D. Ty enjoys helping people in their most difficult time of need. Ty currently is in his second term of a four year term as a member of the West Muskingum School Board of Education.
Cody is the son of Ty & Erin Dierkes. Cody graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA. and is a Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer and a certified crematory operator. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball and working outside.
Jackie joined the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home in 2016 as the secretary-bookkeeper.
Jackie is usually the first voice families hear when calling the funeral home. Jackie's pleasant personality and smile has comforted many families in their time on need.
Jackie and Ed Block, Jr. reside in South Zanesville. She has twin daughters, Zaena of Columbus and Zoeie of Zanesville, and a grandson, Milo.
In her spare time she enjoys going to the movies and spending time with her family.
Martha has been part of the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home since 2006. She is married to Robert Lentz who is retired from the Zanesville Fire Department. They are the parents of two daughters, Karen and Dawna, and the grandparents of four grandsons. Martha is a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Martha loves being able to work where she is needed. With a gift to detail, she is able to add intricate touches that show we listen to small details that are important to the family to make the service totally personal for them.
Away from the funeral home, Martha enjoys gardening and caring for her two Akita dogs and three Amazon parrots.
Kenneth Avery Sr.
Kenneth began working at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home in October, 2012. He married Esther in May of 1976, and together they have two daughters, Monica and Melissa, and a son Kenneth Jr. He has three grandchildren. When Kenny isn't helping out at the funeral home, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Ab Vousden resides with his wife Laura in Zanesville. They have two daughters, Brooke and Blaine and are the grandparents of six grandchildren.
Ab is recently retired from Burnham Foundry Casting Solutions after 44 ½ years and is a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls.
He enjoys helping out our community and looks forward to assisting the families that come through the doors at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home.
Jack Brady resides in Zanesville with his wife Holly. They
have four children, Ryan Roush, Matt Brady, Sean Brady, and Samantha Brady.
They are grandparents of three grandchildren.
Jack recently retired from the Kimble Companies, attends St.
Nicholas Catholic Church where he serves as an usher, and is the Vice President
of the Veteran’s Appreciation Foundation.
If a volunteer is needed in the community then Jack is
there. We are excited to have him on board.

Betsy in 1990 and has three daughters, two sons, and four grandchildren. He was a Captain in the Zanesville Police Department
retiring after thirty seven years where he still maintains an Auxiliary
Commission. Doug enjoys spending time with his family, working around the yard,
and flying. He is currently working on Gyroplane rating.
Dawna joined the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home family in August of 2019. She and her husband live in Zanesville with their three sons, Logan, Slade, and Beau. Logan is a student at The Ohio State University and Slade and Beau are students at Zanesville City Schools. The boys keep Dawna busy with playing football and basketball.
Dawna is also a teacher at John McIntire Elementary School. In her spare time Dawna enjoys shopping, hiking, and watching the Cincinnati Reds.
Erin F. Dierkes
Erin is Ty J. Dierkes wife and Cody and Joe's mother. Erin helps out anyway she can by bringing Duffy to the funeral home to help grieving families or working in the office. Erin is a retired school teacher from West Muskingum Middle School.
Janice Dierkes is the mother of Ty J. Dierkes and the grandmother of Cody, Emily and Joe Dierkes. Jan fills in for the staff when they are all busy and a hand is needed. She is a Registered Nurse.
Bill is the newest associate for Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home running various errands around the area. He was the owner of Balderson Motors for many years. He is married to his wife, Kathie, and has two sons, Tom Balderson and U.S. Congressman Troy Balderson. He also has a grandson, Joshua. He does whatever we ask of him and he does it well.
Tom joined the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home in November of 2015. He has been married to his wife Lynne for 32 years and together they have one son, Jeff. Tom recently retired as a School Counselor, a job that he enjoyed for over 32 years.
In his free time, he likes to travel, attend sporting events, work outside and find new restaurants.
