Wanda Perone Obituary

Wanda L. Perone, 80, of Zanesville, died at 8:07 A.M. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at The Oaks at Bethesda. She was born July 7, 1936 in Muskingum County, daughter of the late James Lemmon, Sr. and Etta Mae Smith Lemmon. She had worked at Halls Brown Cow and Swallows Lounge, where she was manager for five years. She was a member of the Wildwood Church of Christ. She is survived by three sons, Gregory Barnes of Columbus, Mark Perone of Zanesville, and Rick (Lisa) Perone of Zanesville; daughter, Kimberly (Rich) Colvin of Dublin; 14 grandchildren, including special grandson, Derek (Taisha) Perone of Zanesville, and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen (Don) Clark of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Sandy Findeiss of Zanesville; and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on November 9, 2012 by her husband of 55 years, Carl E. Perone, whom she married February 25, 1958; four brothers, James Lemmon, Jr., Clarence Lemmon, Forest Lemmon, Sr., and Alvin Lemmon; and two sisters, Annabelle Hayes and Naomi Betz. Friends and family may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 12, 2016 with her son, Rick Perone offering the eulogy. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
