Velma K. Miller, 76, of Zanesville, died at 10:59 A.M. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her home. She was born March 4, 1945, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Violet (Mayle) Kennedy. She was the past owner of the Candy Corner retired from Big Lots. She dearly loved her boys and her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons: John Allen (Michele) Miller, Bryan Keith (Julie) Miller, and Adam Troy (Kelly) Miller; nine grandchildren, Greg (Amy) Miller, Nicole Conrad, Emily Miller, Peyton Miller, Sydney (Kevin) Every, Avery Miller, Nicholas Miller, Gavin Miller, and Jack Miller; five great-grandchildren, Lyla, Lyncoln, Laney, Callum, and Ryder; and two brothers, Daniel Allen (Janet) Kennedy and Timothy (Amy) Kennedy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Miller; a son, Kevin Patrick Miller; two brothers, Benjamin Franklin Kennedy II and Fred Kennedy; and two sisters, Joanne Gill and Jeanne Garrett.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 1, 2021, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. She will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Zanesville.
