Rosemary (Scott) Sherfy

Rosemary Lee (Scott) Sherfy, 71 of Zanesville, passed away on January 8, 2022 at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville with her loving family at her side.

Rosemary was born on May 1, 1950, the daughter of Mary Lou Engelhardt Scott of Zanesville and the late Charles E. Scott of Zanesville. She retired as an activity director for the Muskingum County Senior Center.  Rosemary loved crafting, dancing with the Dancing Divas, being a member of the Red Hat Society, spending time with her family and her beloved dog Leroy.

Surviving are her mother, Mary Lou Scott; her loving husband Robert (Bob) Sherfy whom she married June 23, 1984; her children;  son, Shane (Leisa) Bowden, daughters, Karen Solt, and Melissa (Ryan) Smith; grandchildren, Tyler (Amy) and Madison Atkins, Brittney Miller, Kelsey Solt, Reece & Jenna Smith; great grandson, T.J. Atkins; siblings, Pat (Marilyn) Scott of Phoenix AZ, Tom (Patricia) Scott of Zanesville, Jim (Karen) Scott, Dresden, Dan (Sue) Scott of Coshocton, Jeanette (Doug) Muse, Delaware, Barbara (Jim) Lafferty, Lithopolis, Nancy (Erik) Holmquist, Johnstown, John (Lori) Scott of Bradenton, FL, Greg (Robin) Scott of Zanesville; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family; step-children Susan (Brian) Fout, Bobbi (Rocky) King, Daniel (Rhonda) Sherfy, and Wendy (Shon) Holdren; and many in-laws, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Scott, daughter Lynette Bowden, nephew Anthony (Tony) Scott and brother Paul Scott.

Friends and family may call from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME 1271 BLUE AVENUE ZANESVILLE, with Fr. JCP Sullivan officiating. Following the service a cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
