Obituary
Ronald Gene Roberts Sr, 83, of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Riverside Care Center in Newcomerstown, Ohio. Ron was born in Malta, Ohio, on January 27, 1940, a son of the late William and Lura (James) Roberts.
Ron last attended Fair Oaks Baptist Church, as well as the Pentecostals of Zanesville, where he enjoyed their fellowship and singing in the choir. Ron also enjoyed watching sports on TV and loved to play softball and horseshoes when he was younger. He also loved to share his homemade fudge.
Ron is survived by his sons Randy (Stacey) Roberts of Zanesville and Ron (Laura) Roberts of West Lafayette; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers and three sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Israel Garza officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
