Ronald W. Ball

Ronald W. Ball, 91, of Zanesville, died at 10:15 A.M. on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. He was born January 20, 1930, in Zanesville, a son of the late Alva and Elsie (Huffman) Ball. He was an Electrical Contractor for Ball Electric and a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.  Ron was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 29, Combat Infantry Association, and VFW George Selsam Post 1058. He was also a former board member of the West Muskingum School District, former charter member and Volunteer for the Falls Township Fire Department, and former Zoning Inspector for Falls Township.

He is survived by his wife, Martha E. (Sletzer) Ball; a daughter, Barbara (Dean) Faris; a son, Larry Ball; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Jennifer) and Jacob (Elizabeth) Ball, and Jay (Jessica DiCerbo) and Steve (Kyrsti Schwarz) Umbleby; several great-grandchildren and great- great grandchildren and a sister, Lena Roffee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Lee Ball; two sisters, Patty Bell and Juanita Larrick and two brothers, Thomas and Don Ball.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 & 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 23, 2021, with Pastor Webster Cox officiating.  He will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville with full military honors accorded to him by the United States Army, VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
