Richard L. Spring

Richard L. Spring, 87, of Nashport, died Monday evening, December 6, 2021 at his home. He was born March 27, 1934, in Fultonham, a son of the late Howard and Sylvia Roberts Spring. Richard was employed for thirty two years at Columbia Cement and worked for Genesis Hospital in Security. He was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ, charter member of the Newton Twp. Fire Department. Richard was a member of Muskingum Lodge # 368 F&AM, Amrou Grotto #45, FOPA and enjoyed camping.

Surviving are his wife of sixty four years, Shirley A. Pletcher Spring, whom he married October 12, 1957, two daughters, Carol (Jim) Garanich and Jane Kilgore; six grandchildren, Jeremiah Miller, Mandi Diaz, Andy (Megan) Kilgore, Max Kilgore, Meaghan (Nick) Hale and Gracie Garanich; great grandchildren, Alicia and Shelton Miller, Zoey and  Emma Diaz and  Clara, Jack and Kate Kilgore.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Miller; a son-in-law, James Kilgore; grandson, Mason Kilgore; brother, Jim Spring; a sister, Geneva McCormac and a great grandson, Jeremy Miller.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. where Muskingum Lodge # 368 F&AM will hold services followed by Funeral Services at 1:00 P.M. December 11, 2021 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Mr. William L. Meaige officiating. He will be laid to rest at Fultonham Cemetery, Fultonham, Ohio.
