Norma Peters Obituary

Norma E. Peters, 92, of Zanesville, died at 8:20 P.M. Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. She was born June 25, 1924 in Zanesville, daughter of the late Clifford and Edith (Hill) Mizer. She retired from the State of Ohio Department of Taxation, was a volunteer at Bethesda Hospital, and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of sixty seven years, John Thomas Tom Peters; three sons, William Bill Thomas (Pam) Peters, Kevin Lee Peters, and Michael Alan Peters; five grandchildren, Beth Ann Loebick Peters, Amy Katherine (Shane) Cargal Peters, Jason Lee (Theresa) Peters, Christopher Thomas (Monica) Peters, and Brian Matthew Peters; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patti Heck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Harold Mizer. Friends and family may call from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. A private funeral service will be held for the family Friday, December 9, 2016. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park, Zanesville.
