Michael J. Walker

Michael J. Walker, 68, of Zanesville, died at 9:10 P.M. on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born May 23, 1949, in Annamoriah WV, a son of the late Henry Red Walker and Jessie Maze Walker Kamban. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by two sons, Michael Walters and Christopher (Courtney) Walker; a daughter, Amber (Bruce) Hill; three grandchildren, Jaxon, Kyla, and Ashleigh; two brothers, Jim and Carson Walker; three sisters, Sue (Gary) Rupe, Patty Ball, and Cathy Miller. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Terry Walker; a daughter, Heather Walker; a grandson, Greyson J. Walker; and three brothers, Larry, Lester, and Danny Walker. Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Pastor Natasha Turner officiating. Following the service, Full Military Honors will be accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and the American Legion Post 29 at the funeral home.
