Obituary

Jacob A. Schmidt, 35, of Nashport, died on Monday, April 10, 2023, at his home. He was born October 28, 1987, in Zanesville, a son of Richard Jr. and Geneva (Powell) Schmidt. He was really into gaming, especially Mario, which he solved at just 3 years old. He enjoyed golf and was an avid sports fan, supporting the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Philadelphia Eagles, and Lebron James. But the greatest love of his life was his son, Connor.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his eight year old son, Connor Schmidt; a sister Lakan Schmidt; his girlfriend, Brooklyn Jack and her children, Savannah and Braxton;  a grandmother Barbara Wilson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dick and Candi Schmidt; and a grandpa James Wilson.

Friends and family may call from 12:00 P.M. until the Celebration of Life Service which will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Mr. William Meaige officiating.  A loving cremation will take place under the care of the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
