Glenna I. Maxwell

Glenna I. Maxwell, 95, of Zanesville, passed away, June 4, 2021 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. She was born September 15, 1925 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ola Davis Johnson. She was a homemaker and an active member of Norval Park Church of Christ for over 60 years. She was baptized in 1948 and taught bible classes. Glenna graduated from Lash High School in Zanesville in 1943 where she was active in sports in Junior and Senior High. She was a 4-H leader for seven years.. Glenna enjoyed Ohio State football and basketball and the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians.

Surviving are her husband, Roy J. Maxwell; grandson, Jeffrey (Chantel) Finlaw; great grand-daughter, Ellie Finlaw, great grandson, Brady Finlaw; a step-great-grandson, Noah Irvin; son-in-law, Roger (Kathryn) Finlaw; four wonderful step-children and their spouses, Connie (Larry) Porter, Tom (Sandy) Maxwell, Cindy (Charlie) Davidson and Christy (Gordon) Franklin ; four nieces, Sandra Daugherty, Linda Hand, Pat Luzadder and Sherry Luc.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert F. Williams, whom she married in 1947 and died September 26, 1985; two daughters, Susie Williams and Peggy Finlaw; a sister Eva Stalnaker and a brother, C.J. (Jake) Johnson.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. till time of funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Norval Park Church of Christ, 845 Arch Street, Zanesville with Brother Jim Clegg officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville.
