Genevieve L. Long

Genevieve L. Long, 100, of Zanesville, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 25, 1921, a daughter of the late George and Caroline Stolarz Kluk. She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She loved her flowers but loved her children and grandchildren even more and her grandchildren describe her as “a women of quiet dignity, understanding, compassionate and generous, a woman of faith and always carried a handkerchief.”  

She is survived by her five daughters, Patricia Phillips, Susan (Mike) Wilson, Judith (Eric) Kildow, Karen Long and Christine Long; two sisters; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.

Genevieve is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Long; a son, Mark Long; a son in law, Patrick Phillips; and nine sisters.

Friends and family may call on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with a funeral mass to be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, June 27, 2022 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 E Main St, Zanesville, OH 43701 with Fr. JCP Sullivan officiating. Genevieve will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Donald at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Zanesville.
