David Thurston Obituary

David Howard Thurston, 74, of Philo, died on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born July 4, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Howard A. and Anna V. O’Neil Thurston. He attended Ohio Northern University where he obtained his degree in electrical engineering and worked 34 years for AEP Ohio. David was a member of the Clarington United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret Blume Thurston, whom he married July 13, 1968; children, Jeni (Chris) Williams, Andrew D. Thurston and Jana (Steven) Baisden; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters; Amy Sue Dillion and Robin Thurston ; a grandson, Austin Thurston and a sister, Margaret Thurston.

No calling hours will be observed. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
