Daniel J. Reed

Daniel J. Reed, 67, of Zanesville, died at 1:52 P.M. Saturday, May 22, 2021, unexpectedly at Genesis Hospital emergency room, Zanesville. He was born December 5, 1953 in Zanesville, a son of the lat Walter and Betty Parsons Reed. He retired from Sunfield Oil Company, was a United States Air Force Veteran proudly serving during the Vietnam War. Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a member of American Legion Post 29 Zanesville.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Martha J. Murphy Reed, whom he married July 9, 1977; three daughters, Marcie (David) Timmerman, Danielle (Robert) Weaver and Sara Reed; three grandsons, whom he was so proud of, Will, Hunter and Noah; two sisters, Dianna (Chuck) Lichiello and Kim (Doug) Wilson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Gallagher and a special nephew, Tom Gallagher.

Friends and family may call from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 with Pastor Debbie Gheen officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:15 P.M. Wednesday at Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell, Ohio with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force in conjunction with the Lowell American Legion Post.
