Clara B. Brown

Clara B. Brown, 85, of Duncan Falls, died at 1:57 P.M. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. She was born August 14, 1935, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late John and Dortha Whitehouse Melvin. She was the owner and operator of Duncan Falls Video, a lifelong bookworm, and had served as a librarian at South Zanesville Elementary School, South Zanesville.

Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl (John) Leach, Benita DeCaro and Susan (Dave) Bishop; a son, Bryon Brown II; grandchildren, Gregory Leach, Tina Leach and Nathaniel Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bryon Brown , who married April 2, 1955, brothers, Charles Fisher, Edward Fisher, John Melvin, Lloyd Melvin and Donald Melvin and a sister, Daynee Ball.

Per Clara’s wishes she has been cremated under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
