Charles "Terry" Whiteman

Charles Terry Whiteman, 68, died at 11:45 A.M. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 1, 1955, and was Muskingum County’s first baby that year, a son of the late Charles H.  Sara J. (Wisecarver) Whiteman. He worked for Peabody Coal and was a semi-truck driver who worked for several companies and retired from USF Holland. He was a Member of Lafayette Grand Lodge #79 F&AM.

He is survived by his wife, Julie (Frick) Whiteman, whom he married on August 23, 1975; two sons, Charles Jarrod (Kelly) Whiteman of Augusta GA, and Joshua Robert (Abbee) Whiteman of Duncan Falls; bonus son Andy James of Zanesville; grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob, Olivia and Jase Whiteman; a sister Shelley Inman of Crooksville; multiple nieces and nephews that were all very special to him; and pets, Major, Lucy, Clyde, Kitty Kitty, Willow, Ricky Racer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several pets who will greet him at the Rainbow Bridge.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, February 5, 2023, at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Veteran’s Building.

A loving cremation will be performed under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his memory to Shriver’s Hospice at:  2052 E. Pike, Zanesville, OH 43701 for the wonderful care they provided to Terry
