Bonnie J. (Duemmel) Applegate

Bonnie J. Applegate, 92, of Zanesville, died August 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 25, 1930, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Herman and Margaret Good Duemmel. Bonnie was a homemaker, had worked at GE for a little while. She loved to play cards and was in several card clubs, she also loved her flowers and gardening. Bonnie’s favorite things to do were her trips to Amish Country and cooking and canning.        

She is survived by a son, Michael (Carol) Applegate of Zanesville; two God Children, Sue (William) Danhauer and Dennis (Jayne) Dunlap, four brothers, Bob (Florence) Duemmel, Dave (Dixie) Duemmel and Richard (Shelia) Duemmel; two sisters, Jane Willey and Ruth Swope and several nieces and nephews. 

In additional to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Dean Applegate, who died August 24, 2016, a sister, Margy Duemmel and a brother, Clarence Duemmel.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 11, 2022 at    BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 12, 2022 with her brother, Rev. Richard Duemmel, officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville beside her beloved husband, Carl.
