Barbara Elaine (Kotterman) Moon

Barbara Elaine Moon, 89, of Zanesville, died at 10:19 A.M. on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at The Oaks at Northpointe, Zanesville.  She was born September 12, 1934, in Wyandot County, a daughter of the late Ned and Grace (Bachtell) Kotterman. Barbara was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church for over fifty years. She retired as the Executive Director of the Muskingum County American Cancer Society.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Robert) Church; a son, Robert (Karen) Moon; a brother Thomas (Naneen) Kotterman; five grandchildren, Amanda (Lyle) Groves, Jeremy (Erica) Moon, Aaron Moon, Emily (Matthew) Miller, and Allison Church; three great grandchildren, Collin Groves, Jonah Miller, and Sammie Miller.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Kathleen (Robert) Felchlin.   

Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Dean Cole officiating. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11:00 A. M. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Oaks at Northpointe for all their love and care given to Barbara while she was there and to Barbara’s special friend and roommate Anita Mauer.
