Wilma P. (Brandom) Brauning

Wilma P. Brauning, 87, of Zanesville, died at 8:25 P.M. on Thursday, February 6, 2014, at Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born March 20, 1926, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Perry and Kathryn Merkle Brandom. She was a graduate of Hopewell High School, a homemaker, and a member of Christian Fellowship-Nashport. Surviving are her husband Charles F. Brauning of Zanesville; two sons Dean (Pam) Brauning of Dresden and Gary Brauning of Zanesville; a daughter Susan (Joe) Shotts of Dresden; three grandchildren, Brad Keefe, Holly (Scott) Wolford, and Chad Brauning; four great grandchildren; and a sister Naomi Satterfield of Zanesville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Gilbert Brandom and Perry Brandom Jr.; and a sister Ruth Hoskinson. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 10, 2014 with Ed Clifton officiating. A private family burial will be held at Williams Cemetery, Zanesville.
