William "Jeff" Smith

William Jefferson (Jeff) Smith, 89, of New Concord, died at 12:14 A.M. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. He was born September 6, 1931, in Columbiana Alabama, a son of the late William Thomas and Ruby (Reinhardt) Smith. He retired from Central Ohio Coal and was a member of Jackson Masonic Lodge #85 F&AM.

He is survived by a daughter, Jill (Jerry) Henderson; two sons, Jeffrey Smith and Dr. Thomas (Melany) Smith; and four grandchildren, Julie and Wesley Lane and Alex and Emily Smith;

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carole (Chesnut) Smith; a sister, Peggy Russell; and a brother, Tom Smith.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
