Velma June Martin

Velma June Martin, 82, of Zanesville, died at 2:21 pm on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Genesis Hospital CCU. She was born June 5, 1942, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Herman C. and Velma Mae (Jarrett) Tipton. She spent 50 years of her life working for the Auditor’s Office in the Muskingum County Courthouse, and was a proud member of the Republican Club.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James W. Martin, Sr., whom she married November 18, 1961; two children, Lisa (David) Chapman and James W. Martin, Jr.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

No services will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
