Thomas Duane Weeks

Thomas Duane Weeks, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tom was born on March 13, 1961, to Peggy (Schaefer) Weeks and the late Duane Weeks.

Tom is survived by his devoted wife, Allison Weeks; his children, Zach (Emily) Weeks, Josh (Brandy) Weeks, Alex (Courtney) Weeks, and Ashley Weeks and her fiancé, Kyle Willis; his mother, Peggy (Schaefer) Weeks; his brothers, Mike (Laura) Weeks and Jeff (Kim) Weeks; his granddaughters, Audrey Weeks and Hailey Weeks; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Weeks and infant brother Richard.

For more than four decades, Tom devoted his career to banking, earning the admiration and respect of colleagues, clients, and friends. Exceptionally intelligent, thoughtful, and humble, he possessed an extraordinary ability to solve problems with integrity. Tom measured success not by titles or recognition, but by the people he helped along the way.

Outside of work, Tom found his greatest joy in the simple things that mattered most. He loved camping, spending time at the lake, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and making memories with his family. Whether gathered around a campfire, watching a game, or simply enjoying an evening together, those moments were where he was happiest. He also shared a special bond with the family’s beloved pet, Pookie, whose companionship brought him comfort and joy.

To those who knew him best, Tom was simply “Mr. Wonderful.” It was a nickname he earned every day. He was fiercely loyal, quietly strong, endlessly dependable, and deeply loving.

Tom was the quiet hub of his family—the steady center that held everyone together. Like the sun at the center of a solar system, he kept those he loved in orbit, providing the security, wisdom, and unwavering presence that allowed each of them to grow, dream, and live without fear, knowing he was always there. He never sought attention or praise. His greatest satisfaction came from taking care of the people he loved.

Nothing made Tom more proud than being a husband and father. His children loved him fiercely, admired him deeply, and looked to him for his wisdom, strength, and steady guidance. They knew without question that they were loved, and that love became the foundation upon which they built their own lives.

The loss of Tom leaves a space that can never truly be filled. He will be profoundly missed every day—not only for what he did, but for who he was: the calm voice, the steady hand, the safe place, and the quiet strength that made home feel like home.

His strength wasn’t loud; it was constant. It was found in the countless sacrifices no one saw, the burdens he carried without complaint, and the calm confidence that reassured everyone around him. Even during his battle with cancer, Tom endured tremendous pain with remarkable courage and grace, rarely complaining and instead focusing on the comfort and well-being of those around him.

His life was defined not by the illness that took him, but by the quiet strength, steadfast character, and unconditional love that shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. The space he leaves behind cannot be filled, but the example he set will continue to guide his family for generations.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and caregivers whose compassion and dedication meant so much throughout Tom’s journey, and to the many family members and friends whose prayers, kindness, and unwavering support carried them through this difficult time.
