Sherry L. (Dunn) Dickerson

Sherry L. (Dunn) Dickerson, 75, of Zanesville, died at 10:58 A.M. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 16, 1951, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Clyde E. and Dorothy L. (Marshall) Dunn.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and her family meant the world to her. A truly selfless and giving person, she was always thinking of others and was willing to help anyone with anything they needed. At the same time, those who loved her made sure she was plenty spoiled herself. Sherry had a passion for motorcycles, mainly while riding with her husband as the “back seat queen” and enjoyed spending time at the beach, even though she was scared of the water. During the winter, she would travel south with her husband to their home in Sebring, Florida. She was also an avid collector and seemed to have just about anything anyone could ever need. If you were looking for something, chances were she had one tucked away somewhere or in her purse. She had a special love for animals, often donating to The Animal Shelter. Above all, she will be remembered for her generous spirit, her selflessness, and the love she so freely gave to her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Timothy Dickerson, whom she married on June 28, 1997; a daughter, Stephanie (Tye) Jones; a son, Denis (Jodi) Niceswanger; a step son, Tyler (Shanna) Dickerson; five grandchildren, Makenzie (Lance) Hambrick, Cody (Rachel) Niceswanger, Tamara (Jordan) Montgomery, Easton (Kaley) Jones, and Austin (Alexis) Niceswanger; seven great grandchildren, Brantly, Bowen, Adelyn, Maverick, Emilia, Maggie, Daisy and two on the way; three sisters, Gloria Worden, Loralei Dunn, Sabrina White; and a brother, Jerry Dunn.

In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laikyn Wisecarver.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 P.M. until time of service starting at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, August 21, 2026 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating.
