Sharon Richardson Wise, 81, born July 16, 1941, passed away at her home surrounded by family on November 1, 2022.
Sharon is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 62 years, Robert L. Wise; daughter, Susan (Kirt) Jones; son, Jeffrey (Crystal) Wise; grandchildren, Adam (Shaye) Jones, Andrew (Kendall) Jones, Ali (Kyle) Colopy, Shania (Tiara Krouskoupf) Wise; seven great-grandchildren, Lilah, Peyton, Duke, Delaney, Iris, Eli, Liam and many special cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alberta (Barr) and Robert Richardson, as well as many beloved aunts and uncles.
Throughout her professional career, Sharon had the opportunity to inspire and mentor countless colleagues. She played a pivotal role in putting the Carr Center Cake Auction on the map and making the Gus Macker basketball tournament a reality for Muskingum County. Known as the “matriarch,” Sharon devoted her life to family. Some of her favorite past times included baking chocolate chip cookies, shopping, playing golf, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and traveling to the beach.
The family extends their love and gratitude to Mimi's dear friend Shirley Van Wye and to Taylor Gutridge, for being an exceptional caregiver.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fellowship Hall of First Christian Church, 3000 Dresden Road, Zanesville, Ohio on Saturday, November 12th at 1:00 pm.
