Sally A. Vandenbark

Sally A. Vandenbark, 80, of Zanesville, was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 10:58 P.M. on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. She was born May 18, 1946, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late George and Helen (Bell) Adams. In her early years, Sally enjoyed sewing, tending to her garden, canning her vegetables from her garden and helping out on the family farm. In her later years, she enjoyed riding her golf cart on the farm and going to lunch with her 64 girls but above all, Sally found the most joy spending her time going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, band competition and all of the various family activities.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lora Carr and Rebecca (Lee) Watson; two sons, Byron (Julie) Vandenbark and Jeffrey Adams; four grandchildren, Mitchell Craddock, Brookelyn (Zack) Martin, Andrew Carr and Allyson Carr; and her fury friend, Susie.

In addition to her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her husband, Lester J. Vandenbark, who died April 27, 2018; and a son in law, Tim Carr.

Friends and family may call from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 29, 2026, with Pastor Bryan Redd officiating. Sally will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Lester at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
