Robert M. Jay

Robert M. Jay, 84, of Zanesville died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2004 at his home. He was born August 19, 1920 in Gibsonburg, Ohio a son of the late Clarence M. & Eva Kohler Jay. Mr. Jay retired as a parts buyer for General Electric Company. He was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran. Surviving are his wife, Peggy E. Smith Jay, whom he married July 4, 1941 of the home, a daughter, Carol ( Walter ) Fritz of Westerville, a son, Gary ( Donna ) Jay of Cambridge, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold & Clifford Jay. No calling hours will be observed, a memorial service will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care.
