Richard Grove Moore

Richard Grove Moore, 76, of Gahanna, died at 6:39 P.M. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born March 7, 1949, in Dayton, a son of the late George Carl and Mary (Muryn) Moore. Richard worked as a manufacturer for At&T, formerly Western Electric, he was a member of the Eagles, an avid bowler and liked to play slot machines. Richard was never idle and always into something, he found joy in being outdoors, and had a green thumb. When he wasn’t tending to his garden, he like to cook and bake or leave town to visit the ocean.

He is survived by his son, Ricky (Sarina) Moore; grandchildren, Siera Moore and Logan Moore; a sister, Carol McCoy; nieces and nephews, Scott McCoy, Shawna (Shane Stevens) McCoy, Darren Ruark, Kevin (Jessica) Ruark, Jason (Shelia) Moore, and many great and great great nieces and nephews; step sons, Mike (Connie) Williams, Mark (Lori) Williams, Wade (Kathleen) Williams, and Jay (Julie) Williams; step grandchildren, Timmy, Jessica, Hailey, Zack, Karly, Courtney, and Ashley.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Joann (Norris) Moore; a brother, George Moore; sister, Kay Ruark; and an aunt, Anna Muryn.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. Richard will be laid to rest beside his wife, Joann.
