Richard M. James

Richard M. James, 83, of Zanesville, died at 12:37 A.M. Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville. He was born October 11, 1938 in Zanesville, A son of the late Gilbert and Elizabeth Bland James. He was the Owner and Operator of James Trucking, a protestant by faith. Dick was known as a wheeler-dealer who could sell anything. He was also a United States Army Veteran.

Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Lillie Joan Evans James; children, Scott (Jennifer) James, Garald (Jennifer) James, Michael James and Brenda Moore; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Larry Huffman and Robert Wright and a sister-in-law, Edie Bland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Lisa James; brothers, Glenn, John and Bob and sisters, Ruth, Marlene and Cindy.

Friends and family may call from 11: 00 A.M. to time of service at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. Cremation will follow the service.
