Richard Michael Beddard Jr.

Richard Michael Beddard Jr., 72, of Zanesville, passed away, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Genesis Hospice Morrison-House following an illness. He was born March 13, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He worked for many years as a truck driver and earlier in life as a mechanic, even owning his own service station at one point. He loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers when he wasn’t out riding his Harley.

He is survived by a son, Rick (Connie) Beddard; a brother Dave (Kim) Beddard; three step-sons, Roger (Jennifer) Ward, Bryan (Courtney) Ward, and Kevin Ward and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara; his guardians, Uncle Leo Beddard and his Grandmother Mary Beddard; and his parents Richard (Jean) Beddard Sr. and Catherine Michalik.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM to the time of Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2023 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Larry Greywolf Wolford officiating. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Timber Run Cemetery, Zanesville.
