Pam Mitchell, 49, of Blacklick, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, with her husband by her side, after a fifteen month battle with breast cancer. Pam was born in Zanesville on November 26, 1971 to John and Sheila (Hayes) Medley.
In addition to her parents, Pam is survived by her husband of twenty-four years, Mark Mitchell; her children, Cory (Natalie) Ault of Leesburg and Dakota (Latosha Williams) Mitchell of Reynoldsburg; five grandchildren, Sydney, Jacob, Alivia, Jorden, ad Bryson; a sister, Jennifer (Johnny) Toombs; her loving dog, Bear, of the last fourteen years; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and George Mitchell; and a brother-in-law, Scott Mitchell. She was so proud of her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Eva Medley and Paul and Bessie Hayes; a brother, Johnnie Medley, Jr.; and a sister, Christina Medley.
Pam loved to travel. Some of her favorite places to go were Las Vegas and New York City but she loved family vacations to Ocean City, Maryland the best.
She would light up the room with her smile and was an inspiration to her husband and children. She was the rock of the family. Even with her long battle with cancer, she always stayed positive and took all of the challenges head on. Pam never lost her smile or her sense of humor.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will live in all she touched over her forty-nine years.
