Michael Patrick Lyons

Michael Patrick Lyons, 50, passed away on May 1, 2026. He was born on January 1, 1976, in Columbus, Ohio, to Michael Leroy Dean and Kay Ellen Lyons.

Michael was a hardworking man who worked as a body technician, taking pride in his craft and the work of his hands. A member of Westwood Baptist Church, he was a devoted and faithful servant, drawing strength and purpose from his unwavering belief. Michael was a country man at heart, finding joy in the simple and meaningful things in life—camping under open skies, spending time outdoors, and enjoying shooting sports. Above all else, he deeply loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his kind heart, and his deep devotion to those he held dear.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Tisha Lyons; his children, Galen (Katie) Lyons, Jaden Lyons, Kayleb Lyons, and Samuel Lyons; and his beloved grandson, Kash ton Lyons. He also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, and uncles who will cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved stepfather, who raised him and taught him to be a man, Wesley Smith, and his brother, Paul Matthew Smith.

A cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, AT OUR LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED CREMATORY. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
