Melodie S. (Vanwey) Newman

Melodie S. Newman, 65, of Roseville, went to be with her Lord at 10:00 P.M. on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital emergency room. She was born January 23, 1947, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late John R. and Lanora White Vanwey. She was a member of the Union Tabernacle Church, and Women of Worth. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her Yorkie Terrior, Pixie. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Gary A. Newman, whom she married June 11, 1965, of the home; two sons, John Newman and Paul (Kelly) Newman, both of Roseville; four grandchildren, John, Andrea, Ashton, and Nathan; and her special friend Larry Hostetler of Zanesville. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Union Tabernacle Church, 2433 Hartford Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 25, 2013, with Rev. Terry D. Newman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville. Arrangements were entrusted to the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville.
