Melissa L. Sherfy

Melissa L. Sherfy, 59, of Zanesville, died at 10:21 P.M. on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Genesis Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 22, 1966, in Zanesville, a daughter of Dave Sherfy and the late Mary (Seevers) Sherfy. Melissa loved music, concerts and racing, especially NASCAR and her favorite driver #9 Chase Elliott. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and above all loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her spouse of 35 years, Mark Wells; her children, Kaitlyn (Elisha) Wells and Cory (Sierra) Wells; a brother, David (Kim) Sherfy Jr.; five grandchildren, Hayden, Maison, Hallie, Arya and Miles; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In addition to her mother, Melissa is preceded in death by her grandparents, Vane and Francis Sherfy; and a niece, Destinee Sherfy.

A cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, AT OUR LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED CREMATORY.
