Marcia Bowman

Marcia Bowman, 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 while in the care of the Morrison House. She was born on July 26, 1949 in Zanesville to Richard & Iris (Fulk) Tipple. Marcia enjoyed making quilts, and was the secretary of the Quilt Club and wrote its newsletters. She was an excellent golfer who could brag that she got 2 holes in one in separate tournaments, but each at the 17th hole. She also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Marcia also loved to travel, and vacation time was where she was her happiest. If she wasn’t traveling to somewhere new on land she could be found taking a cruise or spending time in a casino.

Not only was she a dedicated wife and mother, but she was a devoted nurse, who helped to create the Cath Lab, an Alcohol Rehabilitation unit, and eventually worked as a case manager for the hospital insurance billing.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Bowman, her son, Nick Bowman, her step-son, Thomas W. (Rhonda) Bowman, her grandchildren, Aden Bowman, Kyle Bowman, and Brittany Bowman; as well as her sister-in-law, Vicki (Mike) McIntosh, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Harry Tipple, and a sister who passed away at birth.

A cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, AT OUR LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED CREMATORY.
