Malinda Sue Scott

Malinda Sue Scott, 55, passed away in the morning hours of April 11, 2026 while in Majestic Care of New Lexington, Ohio. She was born in Cambridge, Ohio on August 27, 1970 to Leo & Debra (Smith) Scott. Malinda was a homebody who doted on her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply.

She is survived by her son, John (Christa) McElfresh, her daughters, Raeanne (Skyler) Krofft, Tekila (Ray) McWhorter, and Kayla Scott, as well as her grandchildren, Tyler, Kylie, Bryson, Olyvia, Damian, Annastacia, Elektra, Jackson, Alex, and Shane. She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Melany Alexander and Terri Osborn, as well as her nieces, Alexis & Aaliyah, and her nephew, Marcus.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, William “Bill” Smith, Jr., and her sister, Melissa Scott.

A cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, AT OUR LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED CREMATORY. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Shrivers Hospice, 2052 E Pike, Zanesville, OH 43701.
