Lois Kay (Head) Spires

Lois Kay Spires, 76, of Zanesville, died at 3:48 A.M. on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Genesis Hospital Emergency Room, Zanesville. She was born October 19, 1944, in Roseville, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Thelma (Veyon) Head. She worked at McCoy Beauty Salon and worked at the Dairy Queen South Zanesville. Lois was a devoted mother and wife, her children were her whole life. She enjoyed dancing and having a good time. Lois was a sweet and kind woman loved by all.

She is survived by two sons, David (Jessica) Spires and Steven Spires; a daughter, Kristen Spires; and a grandson Charlie Spires.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Spires who died November 5, 2013; an infant brother, James Head; and a sister Linda Giuliani.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, May 2, 2021, with Mr. William L. Meaige officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville.
