Laura Jean Edwards

Laura "Jean" Edwards, 87, of Nashport, died at 6:10 a.m. on June 16, 2012 at Muskingum County Home. She was born on October 31, 1924 in Toboso to the late John and Cora Brill Hewitt. She was a member of the Muskingum Presbyterian Church and Richvale Grange. Jean retired after thirty-five and a half years of service from Brockway Glass in January 1987. Surviving are one son, Chris A. Edwards of Nashport; three grandchildren, Mark (Karen) Edwards, Mike Edwards and Kris Edwards all of Nashport; seven great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; and a brother, John O. Hewitt of Sandusky. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Edwards who died December 8, 2001; two sons, Steven W. Edwards and Ronald E. Edwards; two sisters, Betty Sharkey and Helen McCann and several brothers. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 with Phillip Walker officiating. Jean will be laid to rest next to her husband, William, at Muskingum Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Nashport.
