Kris L. Taylor

Kris L. Taylor, 65, of Zanesville, died at 12:17 am on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Genesis Hospital in the loving presence of her family. She was born October 12, 1959, a daughter of the late James P. Jr and June Pauline (Woodard) Stowers. Kris could often be found feeding the neighborhood cats, hunting for antiques, savoring a coffee, or indulging in a meal from Buffalo Wild Wings or Texas Roadhouse. She will be remembered for her interest in all things paranormal, concerts on the porch, and her love of the Theater, even getting married at a Dinner Theater! Those who knew her well were familiar with her sharp wit, love of a good drink, and a vocabulary as colorful as her personality. She left a mark on anyone she met.

Kris is survived by her husband Robert Leland “Lee” Taylor Sr; her children, Walter Randolph (Melissa)Phillips Jr, Jennifer Dawn (James) Mitchell, Danielle Marie (Jake) Marshall and Donielle Reneise (Scott) Carsey; stepchildren Robert Leland “Bobby” Taylor Jr, Carolyn Shirleen Wooten and Tracy Michelle Taylor; grandkids Sydney, Gracen, Kaylen, Samantha, Danny, Katie, Kayleigh, Waylon, Abbi, Morgan, Bryce, Zoe, Crysta and Taylor; twelve great grandchildren; a brother James Stowers Jr; a sister Sue Moore; and her beloved pet Stinky the Cat.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris and “Bambi” Tink.

Friends and family may call from 10:00 am until the Memorial Service which will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Celebrant Lindsay Michel officiating.
