Karen Sue (Simon) McDonald, 74, of Zanesville, died at 6:10 A.M. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House, Zanesville. She was born March 15, 1947, in Wheeling WV, a daughter of the late Frank Francis and Opal Vivian (Deitch) Simon. She was a homemaker who loved her children and grandchildren very much. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, scary movies, and loved the outdoors.
She is survived by a daughter, Christine Simon; a son, Thomas McDonald; a granddaughter, Kira Bryson; two great-grandchildren, Nova Rose Dunkle and Emilio Sealey ; three sisters, Nancie L. Passarelli, June E. Dilley, and Sharon O. (Paul) Simon-Nunley; and two brothers, Alex K. Simon and Joseph L. (Martha) Simon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ann Simon and four brothers, Howard R., Frank M., Forrest D., and Terry M. Simon.
A cremation will take place with no services to be held at this time.
