Jonda D. Harper, 64, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at 9:57 P.M. on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at The Ohio State University Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born April, 28 1961, in Jacksonville, FL., a daughter of the late John Edwin and Ruby Jewell (Perkins) Grimes. Jonda worked in retail marketing and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Jonda was a one of a kind person who touched the lives of all who met her.
She is survived by her husband of forty years, Jerry Lee Harper Jr., whom she married on June 1, 1985; her daughters, Erica Wallace, Jerrica (Chris) Jordon, and her son Jerry Lee (Kelsey) Harper lll; special family, Diana Fontaine, Erica (Tyler) Hess, and Ashley (Hardy) Fontaine; grandchildren, Dakota (Adam) Ehrnfield, Jerry Lee Harper IV, Jonikah Jordon, Jase Harper, and Karlee Harper; great grandchildren, Daxton Powell and Brielle Powell; best friend Dawn Jeffrey; three brothers, a sister, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and her many adopted friends and family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends and family may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of service starting at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery, Zanesville.
