John W. Winegar II, 51, of Corning, died at 11:32 A.M. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Genesis Health Center of Perry County. He was born September 2, 1972, in Zanesville, a son of Patricia (Willis) Thomas and the late John W. Winegar Sr. He worked as a forklift operator for Mattingly Cold Storage. John loved all things outdoors; fishing, hunting, riding four wheelers, but most of all he loved his family especially his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother and step father he is survived by his wife Lora (Liston) Winegar whom he married in 2013; five children, Selebrity (Trae Wills) Winegar, Shelby (Hadia Shafique) Winegar, Mariah Thatcher, Draya (Jah Brokenbough) Babb and Trey Babb; one granddaughter, Raeli Keith; a brother Sam (Denise) Winegar; sisters, Sabrina Abele and Kari (Alan Bay) Thomas; nephew, S. J. Winegar and many loved niceces, nephews and cousins and his furry friend, Stella.
In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his son Dakota Winegar.
