John Marteney Sr., 64, of Zanesville, died at 4:50 P.M. on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Genesis Hospice Morrison-House. He was born September 9, 1959, in Columbus, a son of the late Henry and Judith (Sprouse) Marteney. He worked as a welder and fabricator. John loved nature and was a jack of all trades. He was Hardworking, adventurous, and always came through for others.
He is survived by his children, Jamie Milburn, Katie Marteney, John Marteney Jr.; step son, Justin Milburn; grandchildren, Joiana, Jaida, Dejon, Mydus, Layanna, Timothy, Owen, Marcella; brother, Bryan Marteney; and special friend, Pastor Frank Carl.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his lifelong partner Marseille Milburn whom passed May 10, 2024; sister, Lorena; two brothers, Jeffrey and Kevin; and his grandson Derion.
A cremation will take place under the direction of the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
