Jerry M. Richardson, 88, of Zanesville, died at 6:50 A.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Clay Gardens Place, Zanesville. Jerry accepted the Lord as his savior and now resides with his beloved wife Sue in Heaven. He was born January 15, 1936, in Zanesville, son of the late Ernest Theodore and Helen (Greiner) Richardson. Jerry was the owner and operator of Zanesville Tool Grinding that he opened in 1973. He was a member of the Maranatha Bible Church and the 4 Freshman Society. He enjoyed watching The Cleveland Browns, the Indians and was an Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Linda Skala) Richardson, Kristi (Joe) Somers, Jay (Nettie) Richardson, Kelly (Jeff) Wiler; three grandchildren, Shane (Kerry) Todd, Bailey (Jordan) Neff and Cassidy Wiler; three great grandchildren, Elleanore Todd, Lincoln Todd and Evelynn Neff; nephew and co-worker, Troy (Lori) Nichols; and his brother-in-law, Terry Nichols.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of sixty-five years, Carol “Sue” Richardson whom passed away October 21, 2023; and his sister Susan Nichols.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, April, 8, 2024 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. Jerry will be laid to rest by his beloved wife Sue, at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Sonora.
