Hazel Lee (Reed) George

Hazel Lee (Reed) George passed away on, Saturday December 12, 2020 peacefully with her son Darrell holding her hand. She was a born on April 3, 1924 to Harley and Elsie (Dickson) Reed of Roseville. She was a life-long resident in the Zanesville area and a member of Norwich United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three sons David L. (Donna) George of Dublin, Darrell E. George of Norwich, and Daniel L. George of Oregon; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. George who died August 23, 2000 and a son, Douglas S. George. She is the last of four siblings to pass, Lawrence Willard Reed, Helen Reed Brauning, and Joy Reed Hudak, all from the Zanesville area.

Due to Covid-19, there will be no viewing. A private service will be held. She will be laid to rest alongside Lloyd at Norwich United Presbyterian Cemetery, Norwich.

Since Hazel was a two time cancer survivor, both breast and colon, please make donations to The American Cancer Society.
