Hallie H. Alexander

Hallie H. Alexander, 97, of Zanesville, formerly of Luck Ave., died at 12:31 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2007 at Genesis Good Samaritan hospital. She was born May 18, 1910, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Edward and Blanche Maude Shick Switzer. She was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Donna (Robert) Coleman of Pickerington; a son, George B. (Mary) Alexander Jr. of New Port Ritchey, FL.; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Alexander Sr., who died October 13, 1980; four sisters and a daughter, Gloria Marlene Carney, who died October 21, 2006. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2007 at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Dennis J. Baker officiating. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville are entrusted with arrangements.
