Gloria G. (Davis) Smith

Gloria Gay Smith, 71, of Zanesville, died at 7:48 P.M. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 6, 1952, in Zanesville, a daughter of Roberta V. Bailey and the late Elmer L. Davis. Gloria was a member of the Sharon Avenue Free Methodist Church and enjoyed camping and fishing. Above all, she found the most joy from spending time with her family and going to church.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Haga; two sons, James (Melanie) Smith and Joshua (Carrie Hash) Smith; a brother, Gene (Linda) Davis; seven grandchildren, Savannah, Lacie, Kobe, Adam, Autumn, Wade and Ashton; four great grandchildren, Emberlee, Enzliea, Blaize and Charlie; and her fury companion, Chewy.

In addition to her father, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lee Smith, who died August 30, 2009; a brother, Tom Davis; and a grandson, Dakota Smith.

Friends and family may call from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 19, 2024 with Pastor Belle Shaw officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Danny at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Zanesville.
