Emily E. (Pflieger) Sebaugh

Emily E. Sebaugh, 95, of Zanesville, died at 4:00 A.M. on Friday, April 26, 2013, at Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born September 20, 1917, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Julia Tipton Pflieger. Emily had worked for Brockway Glass and retired from Essex Wire. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and she loved to go bowling. Surviving are two daughters, Lee Ann (David) Near and Sylvia (Leonard) Lanning, both of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Robert L. Lanning, Emily (Frederick "Bill") Shumate, Bryan (Heather) Near and Nathan (Emily) Near, all of Zanesville; fourteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a sister Julia " Tootie" Windon of Carrol; and good friend, John Trescott of Adamsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert H. Sebaugh, who died October 29, 1996; a grandson Webb Lanning; four brothers, Lawrence, Bill, Bob and David Pflieger; and a brother-in-law, Philip Windon. Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 2013, with Pastor Mitch Reed officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Zanesville Memorial Park.
