Doris R. (Durant) Paxson

Doris R. Durant Paxson, 87, of Zanesville, died at 11:38 P.M. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born September 17, 1926, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Floyd and Jennie Smith Durant. Surviving are three daughters, Rosie Chattos (John Hann) of Zanesville, Dee (Bill) Kile of Pickerington, and Patty (Eric) Dale of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Tamara (Bill) Durant, Andrew (Jody) Chattos, Kimberly (Robert "Ob") Hartman, Krystal (Bryant) Torres, and Bradley Dale; eight great grandchildren, Michael and Allison Durant, Alex and Abigail Chattos, Sydney and Trace Hartman, and Mason and Nash Torres; a sister Gertrude Delmoe; and a brother Russell Durant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Dr. C. William Alexander; grandson "Rusty" Still; three brothers, Dick, Bob, and Don Durant; and two sisters Diane West and Vivian Smith. No calling hours will be observed. The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
