David Carl Moore, 58, of Zanesville, passed away at his residence on July 31, 2026. Born on August 11, 1967, in Zanesville, David was the son of David Moore and Karen Sue (Lemmon) Moore. He was a graduate of West Muskingum high school and worked as a truck driver, a career that reflected his hardworking nature and dedication.
David had a kind and generous heart. He had a special love for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and was always willing to help children whenever he could. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns fan and found great enjoyment in listening to the timeless music of Hank Williams. He will be remembered for his quiet spirit, caring nature, and the simple joys that brought happiness to his life.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Abigail Murphy; his mother, Karen Sue Moore; his father, David Moore; his sister, Lori May (Thomas); his uncle, Bob Lemmon; his nieces, Sarah (Kevin) Baker and Aryan May; his great-nephews, Cohen, Owen, and Rowen; and his great-nieces, Emma, Zoey, and Summer.
David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Norma Lemmon; his uncle, Floyd Lemmon Jr.; and his grandmother, Mary Moore.
Per David’s request there will be no viewing and a burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. All arrangements have been entrusted to the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio.
