Daniel Eugene Snider

Daniel Eugene Snider, 85, of Zanesville, died at 3:25 A.M. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at The Oaks at Bethesda, Zanesville. He was born October 14, 1939, in Wheaton, Maryland. A son of the late Daniel Eli and Jacquelyn (Hagan) Snider. Dan retired as a Pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he poured his heart into sharing the word of God. He loved to write sermons and to study the Bible. Dan also found joy in God’s creation as a world- class bird watcher, he traveled the world to see birds in their natural habitat. Dan also had a playful spirit, he loved video games and could often be found on his phone playing Pokémon with his friends.

He is survived by his children, daughter, Danielle Boward; son, Steele Snider; granddaughter, Grace Snider; two step sons; and one step great-grandson; brother, Bill Snider; cousin and caregiver, Leroy Snider; and many other extended family members.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his stepmother, Helen Snider.

The family would like to thank Genesis Hospice for their compassionate care and give special thanks to Tracy Cox, Tim Cox, his cousin, Leroy Snider for his dedicated help, and to Dan’s dear friend, Linda Adams who was at his side until the very end.

A cremation will take place under the direction of the BOLIN-DIEREKS FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
